The University of Alaska Southeast is seeking a Title IX and EEO Compliance Coordinator. Under the direction of the Chancellor, this position provides leadership, oversight and administration of the university s equal employment and educational opportunity, civil rights compliance, and Title IX programs. The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating efforts to comply with and carry out the university's responsibilities under Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. The Title IX and EEO Compliance Coordinator serves all three of the UAS campuses and is a part of a statewide Title IX team that coordinates investigations across the UA system. The Title IX Coordinator directly supervises a Deputy Coordinator in addition to overseeing additional compliance functions. This position is dedicated to the prevention of and response to discrimination against UAS students, employees and guests. Responsible for managing annual budget projections and expenditures in conjunction with the Chancellor's Office.Essential 30%Under the direction of the Chancellor as it applies to all UAS campuses: -Responsible for all Clery Act compliance requirements annually, including but not limited to annual reporting of crime statistics, annual reporting of campus security policies and resources, annual training of Campus Safety Officers. -Participate as an active member of the Incident Management Team and advise as appropriate on Timely Warnings and Emergency Response. -Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the UA Protection of Minors policy and regulation, duties including but not limited to: oversight of program approval for minors, training of employees affiliated with minors, assessment of safety issues affecting minors, and collaboration with campus and community partners serving minors through UAS. -Participation on university and statewide committees for Clery and Protection of Minors compliance.Essential 60%Under the direction of, and reporting regularly to, the Chancellor: Title IX Compliance - Responsible for compliance of all Title IX operations for all campuses at the University of Alaska Southeast. - Responsible for providing information to students, employees, visitors and guests regarding Title IX rights and responsibilities. - Responsible for prompt and proper handling of all complaints of sex-based discrimination, including sexual harassment and sexual violence, for all UAs campuses: make jurisdiction assessments and document jurisdiction decisions, make initial inquiries and document details collected, implement and document interim measures, perform and document risk analysis, oversee formal investigations and document all phases of an investigation, determine appropriate discipline authority and document referral for policy violations, provide for and document remedies. - Oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive Title IX prevention and education, and periodically assess the efficacy of the prevention and education programming. - Oversee delivery of ongoing training initiatives for
