Department: Tribal Family and Youth ServicesLocation: Juneau, AK iHours of Work: M-F, 8:00 am i 4:30 pmi Employment Category: Regular, Full-TimePURPOSEThe incumbent provides management and supervision of the Wellness Program in order to meet the needs of Tribal Elders and youth. Ensures accuracy and timeliness of reporting, mandates, and shall comply with all grant requirements, policies and procedures. Responsible for thorough review, completion and timely submittal of reports for grants housed under the Wellness Program and assisting in the coordination, planning and efficiency of the program. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSi Work with Director to plan, develop, and implement programs and services in Tribal Family and Youth Services (TFYS) Wellness Programsi Direct the wellness programis day-to-day operationsi Ensure adherence to the funding agency requirementsi Ensure adequate funding for Elders, youth and suicide prevention programmingi Coordinate with Finance to monitor program budgets and provide financial reports as requested i Work with department Director and Finance to plan/coordinate a budget forecast for each of the grants housed under the Wellness Programi Analyze, interpret, and follow program data, guidelines, statutes, and agency policies in situations or problems of moderate complexity with minimal supervisioni Assist department Director in developing and updating program policies and proceduresi Plan and conduct workshops for Elders, youth, tribal councils, and other internal and external agenciesi Compile statistical and narrative reports as necessaryi Assist Director in writing, preparing, and submitting grant applications for the departmenti Supervise employees including but not limited to; hiring, monitoring, coaching, staff development, evaluations, dispute resolution, and progressive discipline, up to terminationi Oversee the Wellness Program records retention and archiving to ensure accurate, complete, and confidential conformityi Represent the program at meetings with local, state, federal and private agencies, community partners and other Tlingit and Haida programsi Other duties as assignedNECESSARY SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGEi Excellent written and verbal communication skillsi Excellent computer skillsi Ability to analyze and interpret complex information from multiple sourcesi Ability to manage priorities in a changing environment with limited informationi Ability to defuse emotionally charged situations in a respectful manneri Ability to maintain accurate, complete, and confidential recordsi Familiarity with Tlingit, Haida, and Tsimshian culturesAlaska Native/American Indian Preference applies for all positions.iVEVRAA Federal ContractoriWe are a government contractor or subcontractor to the United States government and are subject to the equal employment opportunity obligations of the Vietnam Era Veterans' Readjustment Act of 1974, as amended (VEVRAA).
