Responsible for calculating other compensation as needed. Quarterly and year-end reporting including, but not limited to 941’s, W-2’s. Will be responsible for managing the architecture of and data maintained within the Payroll/HRIS system. This position works under the general supervision of the Disbursement Manager. Additional responsibilities include assisting with accounting functions and financial reporting relating to Accounts Payable inclusive of timely processing, verification, tracking, reporting, and payment of all approved invoices. QualificationsESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in electronic payroll processing

Minimum of one (1) year experience with ACA payroll reporting requirements

Experienced in quarterly and annual reporting requirements

Understanding of payroll taxes, garnishments, and other deductions

Experience with reconciling payroll general ledgers

Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize

Ability to always maintain confidentiality

Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Must have ability to prepare reports and meet required deadlines

Excellent computer skills i.e., Windows, MS Office, and payroll data systems

Ability to take and follow directions, flexible, team oriented, energetic, punctual, conscientious,

Excellent business English, spelling, punctuation, and oral communication skills

Competency in dealing with people of various cultures and social status

Ability to recognize and implement areas of improvements & efficiencies

High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution

Demonstrated excellence in customer service with the ability to interact with internal and external customers

Demonstrated proficiency with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Working knowledge of State and Federal regulatory requirements surrounding reporting, and other fundamentals required for the position

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as the ability to work as a team

Must speak fluent English

Valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety for all specialty behavioral health locations

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain confidential, accurate, and up-to-date payroll files

Prepare, process, and distribute payroll accurately and timely

Calculate monthly provider incentives

Support the responsibility for high data integrity of HRIS data through regular audits; troubleshoot irregularities; partner with People Services to research, correct discrepancies, and ensure compliance

Prepare and submit quarterly and annual reporting as required by State and Federal guidelines

Research and preparation of payroll analysis, projections, internal reports as required or needed by management

Communicate directly with internal personnel and employees regarding questions, changes, payments, and deductions

Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts

Attend instructional programs, seminars as needed to update knowledge of payroll laws/procedures

Work directly with external auditors as needed

Assist with the preparation of the annual audit

Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time when traveling to various clinic sites. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee may be subject to health hazards (contagious diseases, blood borne pathogens, etc.) when working in the clinic area.
