Full Moon Izakaya Sushi and Ramen Bar is an independently owned restaurant opening in Northern Phoenix AZ and we are looking for BOH staff. Full or part time is ok. Some kitchen experience required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure ingredients and final products are fresh
Follow recipes, including measuring, weighing and mixing ingredients
Bake, grill, steam and boil meats, vegetables, fish, poultry and other foods
Present, garnish and arrange final dishes
Maintain a clean and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment and dishes
Handle and store ingredients and food
Maintain food safety and sanitation standards
Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment and utensils
Execute opening and closing procedures
Set up workstations with required ingredients and equipment
Check the quality and freshness of ingredients
Monitor station inventory levels
Accommodate guests special requests
Operate kitchen equipment such as broilers, ovens, grills and fryers
Full Moon Izakaya Sushi and Ramen Bar will be a neighborhood bar and a place for friends and family to relax and connect over delicious food and drinks. Our food will be an integral part of creating the right experience for customers. The restaurant is meant to provide a sense of community, we want people to feel like they can drop in for a quick bite, a dinner, or a night out and have a great experience each time. Experience in Japanese/Sushi restaurants is preferred but we will train the right person. Basic kitchen skills Required/Some kitchen experience required. Candidates must have exceptional attention to detail and be ok with working in a fast paced environment. Willing to flex for all back of house duties is a plus.
We are independently owned which gives us the flexibility to accommodate schedules and work with our employees to make sure their work life is high quality and engaging. While we have high standards we prefer a laid back atmosphere at work and give lots of independence to those who are willing to take on responsibility.
