Hillside Cafe is an award-winning, independent restaurant in Ahwatukee that has been locally owned and operated since 2009. We serve breakfast all day along with lunch, dinner, beer and wine. A fast paced neighborhood staple!
We have a very loyal following, amazing food, and friendly service. We are currently hiring for a full-time or part-time FOH Server. This position will report to our General Manager and Assistant FOH Manger. Must have night and weekday availability!
General Responsibilities:
- Greet and seat guests promptly in a warm and welcoming manner.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
- Deliver food and drinks to tables while ensuring proper presentation.
- Provide attentive, knowledgeable service and anticipate guest needs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned sections and service areas.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely service.
- Process guest payments accurately and handle cash/credit transactions responsibly.
- Follow all restaurant policies, health, and safety guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications / Skills:
- Previous serving experience in a restaurant setting preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-focused mindset.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork skills with a collaborative, positive attitude.
- Attention to detail and commitment to providing excellent hospitality.
- Valid Arizona Food Handler’s Card, or willingness to obtain one prior to starting employment.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Reliability, punctuality, and professionalism in appearance and conduct.
