Desert Aggregates is always looking for team members with a great work ethic and friendly attitude to join our growing aggregate processing team. We are currently seeking new team members to add to our combination maintenance and production team. This team is responsible for completing daily production totals and then maintaining our plants. Pay Range: $24+ an hour depending on experience.
Job Responsibilities:
· Assists shift supervisor in plant walk throughs and area inspections prior to starting planned maintenance.
· Performing maintenance on our crushing and washing plants.
o Includes maintaining of screen decks, conveyor belts, crushers, and other equipment.
· Evaluates systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed.
· Collaborates with team members to discuss upcoming work assignments.
· Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed safely, effectively, and in a timely manner.
· Must be able to work up to 6 days a week, with various scheduled times.
· Observe all safety precautions and rules specified by federal, state, and company regulations.
· Wear all PPE (Approved hard hat, vest, safety glasses Z87 approved, Gloves for approved job task, Long Pants, Short/Long Sleeved Shirt, Safety Toed Boots.
· Understanding of Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
· Employee must fill out all required paperwork.
· Working at heights.
· Flexible in various tasks based off daily needs.
· Work in various weather conditions.
Qualifications:
· Maintenace or hands-on experience background.
· Analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to identify issues and to determine repairs that are needed.
· Commitment to exceeding expectations.
· Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities.
· Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams.
· Pre-employment drug test required.
· Valid Driver’s License
Physical Requirements / Scheduling:
· Current schedule 12pm-12am. Must be flexible in adjusting times seasonally, and as production / maintenance needs.
· Willing to work outside 5-6 days a week. Days and or nights.
· Willing and able to work 10-12 hours a day
· Saturday work is required
· Must be able to lift 50-100 LBS
· Must be able to physically perform work as needed
