Machine Operator/CNC Mill Machinist - $25/hr
All Star Labor & Staffing has been retained by one of our clients to hire multiple successful Machine Operator/CNC Mill Machinist. Our client is a growth-oriented supplier of machined parts and Aerospace hardware.
We are looking for self-motivated, conscientious people who can work with minimal supervision to set-up and operate 3, 4 and 5 AXIS CNC MILL Machines and CNC LATHES, in our MACHINING CENTER. First and second shift positions are available.
Key functions:
Be able to work from setup sheets, prints and follow verbal work instructions.
Be able to setup unsupervised quickly and efficiently.
Be an organized self-starter and motivated.
Be able to troubleshoot set-ups and programs.
Be proficient in various types of measuring tools.
Have knowledge of geometric tolerances.
Understand specifications of the task and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc.
Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function.
Prepare and load raw materials and parts into the machines.
Prepare a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications.
Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result.
Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly.
Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Proven experience as CNC Machine Operator and MILL Operator
Skill in operating CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools
Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings
Mechanical aptitude and good math skills
A keen eye for details and results-driven approach
Good communication abilities
Preferred Requirements/Experience:
Must have five years minimum of aerospace manufacturing experience.
High school diploma or equivalent
