JOB TITLE: NDT Level I (FPI)
DEPARTMENT: Quality/NDT
Pay Range: $25 an hour
Schedule: 1st shift 6am-2:30pm
JOB SUMMARY:
The Level I Individual will conduct FPI evaluations for acceptance / rejection of hardware based on approved inspection criteria.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
1. Be able to follow work instructions.
2. Have the skills and knowledge to process parts, document results and perform equipment standardization in accordance with approved work instructions.
3. Have the skills and knowledge to carry out any necessary preparation of parts before and after inspection in accordance with approved work instructions.
4. Have skills and knowledge to conduct system performance checks in accordance with the applicable process standard.
5. Receive guidance or supervision from certified Level II or Level III in that method when necessary.
6. When specified in the written practice and approved by responsible Level III, may perform interpretations and evaluations of specific product (s) or product form (s) for acceptance or rejection in accordance with approved work instructions.
7. Be familiar with the codes, standards, and other contractual documents that control the method as utilized by Triax Industries.
8. Have basic knowledge of product manufacturing and inspection technology.
9. Be familiar with the various characteristics of material, such as, type and location of expected defects and type of defects that may be associated with fabrication and production operations.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
· Demonstrated experience with interpretation of OEM quality and part specifications in the aerospace, industrial gas turbine, and/or automotive industries.
· Demonstrated experience with Aerospace and Industrial Gas Turbine Airfoil components a huge plus.
· Candidate must possess demonstrated communications skills (both technical writing and verbal).
· Candidate must demonstrate a sense of urgency for timeliness in maintaining and improving quality systems within a manufacturing organization.
· Computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project.
