Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Fire Sprinkler Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, inspecting, and maintaining fire sprinkler systems to ensure they function correctly in case of emergencies. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with hands-on experience in fire protection systems who is capable of diagnosing and repairing sprinkler systems while providing outstanding service to clients. You will be responsible for maintaining system integrity through regular inspections, timely repairs, and thorough testing procedures. This role also requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety standards
Responsibilities:
● Perform Inspections and Testing: Conduct regular inspections and functional testing of fire sprinkler systems to ensure they meet local and national fire codes and standards.
● Diagnose and Repair: Identify and troubleshoot issues with fire sprinkler systems and execute necessary repairs in a timely and efficient manner.
● Installation Support: Assist in the installation of new fire sprinkler systems, ensuring proper setup and functionality.
● Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients, providing them with detailed reports on system status, necessary repairs, and any recommended upgrades.
● Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, repairs, and any changes made to fire sprinkler systems.
● Compliance: Stay up-to-date with industry standards, safety regulations, and technological advancements related to fire protection systems.
Skills/Qualifications:
● Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in fire sprinkler system service, repair, or a related field.
● Certification: NICET Level II certification in Water-Based Systems (preferred) or equivalent experience. Must be willing to obtain necessary certifications as required.
● Willingness to Learn: Eager to learn and develop skills in various areas of fire protection.
● Technical Skills: Strong understanding of fire sprinkler systems, including wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge systems. Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical manuals.
● Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly to clients and team members.
● Physical Ability: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in various environmental conditions.
● Dependability: Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
● Team Player: Ability to work well in a team environment and assist senior technicians as needed.
● Problem-Solving: Basic problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to learning.
