Management and leadership skills are needed for conflict management, negotiation, team building, communication, budget administration and coaching/mentoring others. Assists in the hiring process, orientation and evaluation of qualified personnel for all department staff.Job Description :EDUCATION:
Doctorate: Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy.
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:
PHARMD-Licensed Pharmacist
BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
5 years of recent relevant experience.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of current pharmacy and home health Durable Medical Equipment (DME) intake criteria, Medicare, Medi-Cal, State and Federal regulations.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff members, physicians, patients and their families; flexibility and independence required to work competently and autonomously in the absence of the general manager.
Demonstrates commitment to providing exceptional customer service and responding to customer needs/requests in a prompt, courteous manner.
Ability to handle difficult circumstances and make sound business decisions with little direction.
Demonstrated leadership skills, including team building, and coaching/mentoring with the ability to motivate and engage others.
Verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
Organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects while delivering quality service and achieving business results.
Requires a basic working knowledge of legal requirements and accreditation standards including National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP), The Joint Commission (TJC), Title XXII, United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and United States Pharmacopeia (USP).
