Description We are welcoming a Medical Biller/Collections Specialist to be a part of our team in the Healthcare and Social Assistance industry, based in Alhambra, California. This role involves managing patients' billing and insurance related information, liaising between patients and insurance companies, and maintaining the accuracy of patients' accounts. This position offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Manage and update patient accounts to ensure information accuracy Communicate effectively with patients and insurance companies to clarify insurance benefits Oversee billing disputes and work towards resolution by liaising with patients, insurers, and healthcare providers Conduct insurance claims processing as part of billing and collection activities Respond to patient inquiries regarding billing, insurance coverage, and payment options in a timely manner Review and manage insurance denials and appeals Monitor outstanding insurance balances and initiate necessary actions to process payments Utilize data management systems to track payments, charges, and adjustments Maintain proficiency in Medical Billing, Medical Collections, and Hospital Revenue Cycle systems Develop expertise in using UB04 form and Medical software. Requirements Minimum of three years of experience in Medical Billing and Collections. Proficiency in using UB04 form for billing purposes. Familiarity with Medical software applications. Experience in Hospital Revenue Cycle is a must. Hands-on experience in Hospital Inpatient and Outpatient billing. Proficiency in Medical Appeals and handling Medical Denials. Extensive knowledge and experience in Medical Billing and Collections. Familiarity with the healthcare and social assistance industry. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Must possess critical thinking skills and the ability to solve complex problems. High attention to detail and accuracy in work. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Knowledge of healthcare laws, regulations, and standards.
