In this position, the Staff Accountant prepares journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. During the monthly close, you will have charge over many aspects of internal reporting. In addition, you will look over schedules for the reporting processes, participate in compliance, and keep in touch with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits. This role also involves the production of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. Carry out fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation
Play a role in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation
Perform month end close, journal entries with minimum supervision
Be responsible for account reconciliations including prepaid expenses, payroll, and other assignments
Take part the in implementation and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures, ensuring compliance with GAAP
Participate in various department-wide initiatives
Support capital lease and monthly payment schedules
Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested
Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner
Create monthly statement analysis to be used for management reportings Requirements - Recent and relevant accounting experience
Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
ERP system experience
Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills
Strong familiarity with Bank Account Reconciliation
Proven knowledge of journal entries
Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)
Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)
Month end closings experience
Foundational knowledge in cash posting
Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision
Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment
Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines
Remarkable analytical, quantitative and social skills
