Job Title: 1st Shift Mechanical AssemblerJob DescriptionA sheet metal fabrication company is seeking a mechanical assembler to join their team. You will read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to assemble mechanical components and systems for made-to-order parts within the Aerospace/Construction industry.Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to assemble mechanical components (aluminum, metal, steel) and systems.
Use hand tools (screwdriver, manual grinder), power tools (polisher), and precision measuring instruments to assemble parts and ensure they meet specifications.
Perform quality checks on assembled products to ensure they meet company standards and specifications.
Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues, making adjustments as necessary to ensure proper fit and function.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols and procedures.
Collaborate with engineers and other team members to improve assembly processes and product quality.
Document assembly processes and maintain accurate records of work performed.
Essential Skills
At least 1 year of experience in mechanical assembly within a job shop environment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot assembly issues.
Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
Physical stamina and dexterity to handle and assemble small parts.
