job detailsThe Inventory Clerk plays a key role in maintaining accurate stock records and ensuring the smooth operation of the warehouse. They are responsible for tracking inventory levels, verifying shipments, organizing stock, and ensuring accurate reporting to management. Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, stock movements, and discrepancies.
Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventories to verify stock accuracy.
Track stock levels to ensure timely replenishment and prevent shortages or overstock situations.
Inspect and verify incoming shipments for accuracy (quantity and quality) against purchase orders and invoices.
Ensure proper documentation for received goods, including logging receipts into the inventory system.
Prepare inventory-related reports (e.g., stock status, variance reports) for management.
Identify and escalate issues such as stock discrepancies or damaged goods.
Familiarity with inventory management systems (e.g., WMS, ERP).
Basic computer skills, including proficiency with spreadsheets (Excel).
Ability to lift and move heavy objects (as per job requirements).
The essential functions of this role include:
