Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Patient Care Coordinator in Bakersfield, California. The role is within the healthcare industry, where you'll be part of a dynamic team, working in a fast-paced environment. Your responsibilities would primarily involve patient registration, maintaining accurate patient records, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.Responsibilities: Accurately process patient registrations, ensuring all necessary information is collected Maintain precise records of patient demographics Handle patient inquiries, providing excellent customer service at all times Ensure correct billing of insurances and collection of co-pays Enter CPT codes accurately to create estimate letters Identify the correct insurances to bill in compliance with healthcare regulations Maintain compliance with EMTALA, HIPPA, and all other healthcare regulatory laws Work efficiently in high-pressure environments such as emergency rooms Meet department financial goals and ensure compliance with state laws Adhere to the dress code policy in alignment with healthcare regulations Requirements Demonstrated expertise in Customer Service Familiarity with Policy, Compliance, and Regulatory Law principles Proven experience in Billing and Performing Ad Hoc Financial duties Knowledge of HealthCare.gov and R Code is essential Understanding of Health Care, Offshore practices, and CPT Codes Ability to handle Patient Demographic information Skills in Patient Registration and Revenue Cycle Processes Awareness and understanding of State Laws and TRICARE system Experience with NIS is an advantage Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
