Call and confirm each shift you are scheduled for.

Arrive 15 minutes prior to first appointment of the day.

Punch in and out on time clock; no more than (15) minutes before or after shift. Punch out for lunch breaks as well.

Greet guest with a smile, eye contact, and use of surname (example Mr. Bob Jackson, Ms. Sue Smith).

Ensure that the guest has a full understanding of the service and is comfortable with the process.

Always have guest on table no later than 5 minutes past their designated appointment time.

Do not diagnosis physical ailments or give advice in regards to medical concerns.

Provide quality, safe, consistent and ethical facials to guests.

Interact with guests in a friendly, service oriented manner.

Offer each guest water during the start of the service and at the conclusion.

During the service, check three times on the guest’s comfort and pressure of service.

Check schedule throughout the day for changes.

Clean work areas when finished with treatments keeping it clean and prepared for next guest and staff member. Rooms always left in presentable fashion as tours for guests are often given.

Adjust table and chair height for correct ergonomic working standards.

Change sheets and carry dirty linens to laundry room.

Explicitly follow the Claremont standard in regards to draping guests.

Discuss skin care program with guest during the facial.

After each guest write client home care program using prescription card recommending retail products and closing sale.

Sterilize and clean room according to Cosmetology Board requirements.

Inform manager of unsafe equipment, practices or guest reactions.

Refrain from discussion of politics, salary or company information in public areas.

Arrive for your shift in uniform looking clean and professional.

Attend all scheduled staff meetings.

Be aware of the precautions and contra-indications list and avoid facials if necessary for the health of the client.

Cover all shifts when time off is needed (first obtaining approval from direct manager). Verify coverage with individual and verify computer change two weeks in advance.

Promote sales of treatments.

Pursue trainings to stay current with the field updating techniques.

Communicate supply needs to appropriate manager in writing.

During 90 day probationary period be trained and certified by Dermalogica for basic product knowledge.

Complete any reasonable task requested by a manager.

Ensure professional par levels are maintained and products are available in

treatment rooms as needed by staff.

Critique product usage while monitoring and preventing overuse of product.

Efficient ordering and inventory of facial products.

Constantly pursue the company’s best interest in creating product savings.

Maintain and supervise consistent room standards.

Train all new hire Estheticians (in waxing, facials etc.)

Provide new estheticians with an orientation to spa areas, linen and product

organization.

Maintain safe and efficient operation of equipment (robe warmer, wax pots

etc).

Inform Manager of unsafe equipment.

Assist in menu development.

Writing and training of protocols or new and existing treatments.

Maintain cost per treatment records and update as needed.

Responsible for ensuring all facial staff perform all skincare services.

To ensure proper training of booking facial communicating regularly with reservations.

Ensure all estheticians sell retail and complete prescription forms with each treatment.

Responsible for staff being supplied with job tools as needed.

Qualifications

Preferable two years experience doing facials in a business setting.

One-year customer service related experience required.

Friendly, energetic, dependable and customer oriented.

Must be very detail oriented.

Knowledgeable and practiced in retail sales.

Ability to work with a variety of staff and management in a cooperative manner.

Pushing and pulling of steamer (10 lbs.) on a constant basis.Motion Requirements:Walk 20%, Bend 80%, Sit 60%, Stand 20%, Kneel 2%, Squat 10%, Lift 10%, Reach 80%, Twist 20%.Sensory Requirements:Visual inspection, clear speech, hearing, touching.Environmental Factors/Hazards:Time spent indoors: 8 hours. Normal temperature and humidity range. Except for brief periods when entering sauna or steam rooms. Odors and contact with facial products. Facial rooms can be warm and close.
