Description We are on the hunt for a seasoned Sr. Accountant to join our team located in Brea, California. This role is instrumental in our financial department, with responsibilities including the consolidation of financial reports, responding to audits, and reviewing tax returns. The Sr. Accountant will also be required to work closely with various departments, such as Accounts Payable, to ensure a smooth financial operation.Responsibilities: Oversee the consolidation of financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations Respond promptly and professionally to audits, ensuring all necessary information is provided Review tax returns for accuracy and compliance with tax laws Collaborate with the Accounts Payable department to address and resolve any issues Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze financial data Utilize Excel formulas and macros to streamline financial processes and tasks Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations and bank reconciliations Prepare and post journal entries as part of the month-end close process Utilize financial software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP to manage financial data and processes Requirements Must have a bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. Proven experience as a Sr. Accountant or similar role. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Excel Formulas is required. Experience with accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP is essential. Demonstrated ability in performing Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations. Proficient in maintaining and managing General Ledger and Journal Entries. Should be able to handle Month End Close procedures effectively. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must have a strong ethical framework and unquestionable integrity. CPA or similar certification would be considered a plus.
