The Production Security team is looking for an intern to join their team which is responsible for the physical security of film and television productions including NatGeo, 20th Television, FX, and Disney Studios. We work with partners in Global Security to make sure all production assets and employees are working in a safe and secure environment, so they can focus on their creative priorities. The ideal candidate for this role will have a proactive approach, a strong work ethic, and enjoy working with diverse groups.The Production Security Intern will report to the Sr Manager, Production Security, and will have plenty of opportunities to work in the field whether it's on set or a premiere on Hollywood Blvd!What You Will DoEvery day presents new and exciting opportunities as you assist the team with a variety of projects. This intern will also experience the filmmaking process from beginning to end but from the perspective of our production security team. Such projects could include:
Updating our production locations, start and wrap dates
Assisting with vetting security vendors
Researching and staying updated on potential global security threats that could impact productions
Assisting with compiling tech scout and site assessment reports
Providing timely clear, concise communication to management, team members, and other partners
Creating educational material related to security best practices for cast and/or crew
Participating in various production meetings
Updating our incident management system
Required Qualifications & Skills
Excellent attention to detail and superior data management skills
Able to prioritize and multitask different assignments
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Able to work on projects from start to finish with minimal direction
Have an interest in physical security and filmmaking
Strong computer skills, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using SmartSheet and Airtable
EducationCurrently enrolled junior, senior, or graduated within the past six months majoring in Criminal Justice, Business, Political Science, International Relations, Criminology, or a closely related fieldEligibility Requirements & Program InformationCandidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) before participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at the time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization
Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program
Additional Information
The approximate dates of this internship are June 2024 – January 2025
This internship is located in Burbank, CA
Fully available to work full-time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship
Able to provide own housing and provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
