RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Test Engineer - Video in Burbank, CA.
Roles and Responsibilities of the Test Engineer:
As a Software Test Engineer of video you will work with consumer applications testing expertise
You will join the team of hands-on proactive self-motivated and seasoned SQA professionals
Test Engineer will be creating test plans, test cases for new features and executing tests
Test video quality and playback across various platforms, Roku, smart TVS, gaming consoles and STB etc.
Find, isolate, document, regress and track bugs through resolution
Test Engineer interprets and reports testing results and be a vocal proponent of quality in every phase of the development process
Represent the QA team in project/progress/status meetings
Management of Test Results and reports
REQUIREMENTS:
Over 6 years of experience in software quality assurance in an agile environment
Must have experience testing most platforms including mobile, Smart TV, Gaming counsel and desktop
Experience in tools Charles/Fidler, Jira, Confluence and TestRail is a must
Industry experience and successful track record in video application and video playback testing on smart TVs (Samsung, LG, Vizio, Hisense), gaming consoles (Xbox and PlayStation test kits), STB etc.
Industry experience in video streaming technologies HLS, DASH, DRM, DAI, Audio Video codecs
Industry experience in Live Tv, video on demand and cloud DVR video streaming workflows
Strong understanding of testing methodologies, test practices and terminology
Knowledge of Samsung Tizen studio, LG TV webOS IDE, Chrome debugger
Good to have:
Experience in automation testing using any object-oriented programming language (Python, Java)
Experience in API web service testing
Experience in CDN, CMS, CAN
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
