18 years or older
Enrolled in a post-high school educational program (Community College, College, University, Trade, Online School, or equivalent) and returning back to the program for at least one semester post internship.
Program Length: The approximate dates of this internship are May-August 2025. Interns must be fully available for the duration of a 12-week assignment.

For our 2025 programs, we are committed to providing mentorship and development. Walt Disney Animation Studios’ production internship program provides emerging talent with an immersive view of Animation through educational seminars on craft and filmmaking, and individual and collective projects.The Visual Development InternshipVisual Development Artists provide the foundation for all the visuals in our films. They provide designs for characters, environments, costume, color, and cinematography. They inform story through drawings and paintings that depict mood, atmosphere, and staging. Artists are also often called upon to provide inspiration for projects in development that illustrate visual potential and excitement. This program is intended to provide you an immersive look into this creative process while pairing you with mentors from our talented Art department.Portfolio Requirements:
Website and/or uploaded PDF portfolio (PDF can be uploaded via Googledrive link)
Character and/or environmental designs in a range of styles and archetypes, all with specific and clear personality, storytelling, and appeal
Work that demonstrates a wide range of techniques, from classical to stylized with strong sense of composition, color theory, and narrative (preferably with characters interacting in the environments)
Life drawings and sketches a plus
