Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are currently offering a temp-to-hire opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our interior design client's team in Burlingame, California. You will primarily focus on account coding and utilizing NetSuite (our ERP system) to manage a variety of accounting functions. This position will transition into a permanent role.Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable Management: Process and manage accounts payable, ensuring that all vendor invoices and bills are paid accurately and on time.

Account Coding: Perform account coding tasks to ensure proper allocation of expenses in accordance with company policies.

NetSuite Utilization: Leverage NetSuite (ERP system) for a variety of accounting functions including processing transactions, tracking expenditures, and generating reports.

Credit Application Processing: Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely manner and maintain precise customer credit records.

Customer Account Management: Resolve customer inquiries related to their accounts and ensure customer accounts are regularly monitored.

Accrual Accounting: Perform accrual accounting tasks to record revenues and expenses as they occur, regardless of cash transactions.

Auditing & Discrepancy Resolution: Conduct regular audits of accounts payable to identify and rectify any discrepancies or issues in the billing or payment processes.

Compliance & Confidentiality: Adhere to company policies and procedures, including maintaining confidentiality and professional relationships with vendors and internal teams.

Requirements

Proven experience in accounts payable functions, ideally within the manufacturing or related industries.Proficiency with NetSuite or other ERP/accounting software is required.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Excellent communication skills for handling customer inquiries and vendor relationships.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.Experience with accrual accounting and auditing processes is a plus.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
