OverviewMercy Medical Group , a multi-specialty group with more than 500 healthcare providers in the Sacramento region, is looking to add a nurse practitioner or physician assistant to its busy Neurology department. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing care to established headache, sleep, and general neurology patients, task completion, patient education, medication refills, and acute/same-day visits as needed. This opportunity is full-time with no call or in-patient responsibilities. Prior experience (especially in Neurology) is preferred, however, the team is interested in training the right candidate.We will provide your employment through Mercy Medical Group, which will include:

ResponsibilitiesPatient Assessment and Diagnosis:
Conduct comprehensive health assessments.
Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
Treatment Planning and Management:
Develop and implement patient care plans.
Prescribe medications and therapies.
Provide health promotion and disease prevention education.
Collaboration and Consultation:
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
Consult with physicians and specialists as needed.
Coordinate patient care across various settings.
Qualifications
A valid and unrestricted license to practice in the State of California
Nationally recognized certification (as determined by Medicare)
Completion of state mandated educational courses
