Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Payroll Administrator-Certified Payroll. The position is part-time, located in Carson, California, and provides the option to work remotely. As a Payroll Administrator, you will be part of a small team, working in an industry that is traditional in its approach. Responsibilities: Handle processing of certified payroll Work with union contracts within the payroll system Utilize QuickBooks for various payroll tasks Ensure accurate maintenance of all payroll records Resolve payroll-related inquiries from employees in a timely manner Monitor payroll transactions and reports for accuracy Collaborate with a small team to ensure efficient payroll operations Manage remote working effectively, maintaining high levels of productivity Continually update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities related to payroll administration Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices. Requirements Must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Payroll Administrator or a similar role. Certification in Payroll is a requirement. Proven experience with Union Payroll is necessary. Familiarity with Union Contracts is desirable. Excellent numerical and computational skills are required. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail are expected. Proficiency in payroll software and other related tools is a must. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are needed. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately. Adept at managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is required. Familiarity with federal, state, and local laws related to payroll and taxes is necessary. A high level of integrity and professionalism is expected.
