Description The AR/Collections Specialist will be responsible for credit approval, managing collections, addressing short payments, and resolving deductions. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in accounts receivable and collections, with a focus on maintaining positive customer relationships while ensuring timely payments.Key Responsibilities:
Review and approve credit for new and existing customers based on company policies.
Manage collections of outstanding invoices, ensuring timely follow-up on overdue accounts.
Address and resolve short pays and deductions from customer payments.
Monitor accounts for overdue balances and proactively engage customers to collect payments.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts receivable records in the accounting system.
Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to resolve any billing or payment discrepancies.
Generate aging reports and provide regular updates to management on outstanding balances.
Assist with the reconciliation of customer accounts and provide support during audits.
Requirements
