Camina Bakery is hiring for a part-time dough shaper. This position involves dividing and shaping bread dough, some prep work, and some cleaning. The skill of a shaper is about being responsive to the dough, both with your hands and with the decisions made in judging the readiness of the dough at different stages. The training process typically takes two to three months for a new hire to learn the basics. Beyond that, the journey of honing your skills requires years of practice. Shaping dough is a very rewarding experience for those who are so inclined.

This available position is approximately 20 to 24 hours per week, with future growth possible.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with passion for bread and a strong desire to learn. Bakery or kitchen experience is a plus, but not necessary. Some heavy lifting is required (up to 50lbs).

Compensation:

$17 an hour starting wage with raises for performance, promotion, and seniority

Mon/Weds/Thurs 9:00am start time, 6 to 8hr shifts
