JOB TITLE: SHEET METAL PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN
REPORTS TO: PRODUCTION MANAGER
JOB TITLES DIRECTLY SUPERVISED: NONE
Hourly.
Location: North Hollywood.
Range $18hr - $22hr

PARTIAL RELOCATION REIMBURSEMENT INCENTIVE
Narrative Description: Responsible for the repair / fabrication of sheet metal parts and assemblies IAW manufacture drawings, specifications and UAC Shop Work instructions.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:
1. Accepts work in process from Production Manager or Production Leadman.
2. Fabricates assemblies / components as indicated on job work orders / manufacturing orders.
3. Interprets drawings and technical orders to perform sheet metal technician responsibilities that satisfy customer quality acceptance standards.
4. Uses standard or special tools as directed by shop supervisor to meet quality objectives.
5. Fabricate, Repair and Manufacture aircraft parts per regulations and to customers’ satisfaction.
6. Performs other duties to help satisfy customer orders.
7. Reviews work to identify and correct errors and oversights to meet quality standards per customer and regulation standards.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School. Trade school helpful.
Experience: Three (3) years of reading blueprints and helping to plan and layout jobs. Sheet metal fabrication or Military Aircraft Structure repair experience a plus.
Required skills: Familiar with close tolerance measuring devices, i.e., dial calipers, micrometers, dial indicators and other shop measuring equipment. Use of hand and power tools. Own a toolbox with standard tools (screwdrivers, hammer, wrenches, etc.).
Physical Requirements:
Sitting, Standing, walking, bending, twisting, lifting up to 40 lbs. or more unassisted, with help or with assistive devices. Average hand dexterity and good eyesight required. All applicable personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety footwear required.
This position requires lifting parts and boxes up to 40lbs without assistance by another, a tool or equipment. Parts, material, and boxes beyond 40lbs must be lifted with another or via tool or equipment per our back safety procedures.
This position requires reaching, lifting, twisting, and squatting to retrieve various parts and material to satisfy orders.
Evaluation to hire, PARTIAL RELOCATION INCENTIVE.

Shift 1) M-F 7:00am-3:30pm
Shift 2) M-F 12:30pm-9:00pm
1st Day: 8:00am safety training
