SummaryYou will serve as a Interdisciplinary Engineer/Scientist in the Ranges/Targets Ops & Labs Group, Threat Target Systems, Mobile & Integration Threat Sys Div, Integrated Threat Enviro Sim Proj Ofc of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.ResponsibilitiesYou will incumbent manage Threat Sim Projects as the Integrated Product Lead (IPL) responsible for Navy threat simulator systems development, acquisition and fielding efforts in support of Tactical Training Range (TTR) and Test and Evaluation.You will provide overall project management, execution, and business operations and PMA program manager/sponsor coordination and influence at DoD Test and Evaluation as well as NAVAIR Test and Evaluation and COMOPTEVFOR.You will coordination with various intelligence agencies, such as the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC), Missile Space and Intelligence Center (MSIC), to ensure certified intelligence community threat assessments are incorporated.will be responsible for project planning including program management plans, progress reports, business and operations plans, proposals.You will be responsible for system development, system verification, and information assurance compliance plans associated with program organization, product development and integration, material acquisition, program budgets, and schedule.RequirementsConditions of EmploymentQualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12/13) or pay band (DP-04) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional engineer/scientist. Specialized experience includes duties related to the following: 1) Performing warfare analysis, requirements definition, and system development engineering; 2) Providing customer coordination, budgeting and financial management; 3) Performing project planning and development, as well as Contracting Officer Representative (COR) responsibilities; 4) Demonstrated experience related to cybersecurity processes and physical security requirements. To be acceptable, the program must: (1) lead to a bachelor's degree (or higher) in a school of engineering with at least one program accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET); or (2) include differential and integral calculus and courses (more advanced than first-year physics and chemistry) in five of the following seven areas of engineering science or physics: (a) statics, dynamics; (b) strength of materials (stress-strain relationships); (c) fluid mechanics, hydraulics; (d) thermodynamics; (e) electrical fields and circuits; (f) nature and properties of materials (relating particle and aggregate structure to properties); and (g) any other comparable area of fundamental engineering science or physics, such as optics, heat transfer, soil mechanics, or electronics. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico. OR Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above). The courses must be fully acceptable toward meeting the requirements of an engineering program as described in paragraph A (above) OR Successful completion of a curriculum leading to a bachelor's degree in an appropriate scientific field, e.g., engineering technology, physics, chemistry, architecture, computer science, mathematics, hydrology, or geology, may be accepted in lieu of a bachelor's degree in engineering, provided the applicant has had at least one year of professional engineering experience acquired under professional engineering supervision and guidance.
