Job DescriptionA school district is seeking a Director of Purchasing to join their team. In this hands-on position the Director of Purchasing will be reporting into the Assistant Superintendent of Business Services and will oversee a team of 4, including 3 buyers and 1 lead buyer. They will be reviewing high level purchasing orders, assisting with bids and RFPS, attending meetings, and going to different warehouses and school sites across the district. 5-10 years of public purchasing experience
Strong background in bid preparation, procurement, material control, distribution, and RFPs
Extensive knowledge of warehousing
Management, supervision, and training experience Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Economics or a related field
Experience with CUPCCAA
Publication experience null
