is expected to be a subject-matter expert in commercial auto and will lead

in the development and implementation and launch of a new commercial auto product. You will be responsible for the overall management of a commercial auto product, including monitoring and evaluating profitability, retention, and growth

performance and communicating to all areas including senior managers the

progress against targeted goals. You will also make recommendations and implement changes

to maintain the Auto Club’s goals and objectives. Provides strategic direction to

execute on short and long-term plans. Oversees and leads projects by working

with multiple areas of the organization to ensure the development execution,

establishment of goals, and success of all product line initiatives.

Regularly makes decisions involving the direction of major projects and

implements plans that affect the strategic direction of assigned product line.Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development and implementation of anew commercial auto product which includes development in several areasincluding actuarial, underwriting and insurance operations

Develop pricing from base rate setting, modelbuilding, implementation, to monitoring and maintenance of the rating plan

Responsible for filing and receiving approvalfor rate and rule plans with the CDI

Leverage industry knowledge to recommendunderwriting guidelines that fit our overall strategies

Provide input and recommendations for policy servicingand claims handling

Develops formalpresentations and briefs executive management on recommendations

Manages productfor effectiveness and leads the development of recommendations to improveproduct performance in ways that align with enterprise strategies andobjectives

Maintains ahigh level of understanding of economic conditions, regulatory issues, andcompetitor practices with respect to pricing, products, and marketing withinthis market

Education

Four-year college degree in marketing, business,management, finance, quantitative or technical field (math, statistics, andcomputer science) or equivalent combination of education and work experiencerequired.

MBA and/or CPCU preferred.

FCAS or ACAS preferred.

Experience

5 or more years of actuarial/product management experiencein commercial auto lines required.

Prior strategic planning experience stronglypreferred.

Demonstrated experience in project managementpreferred.

Knowledge

/ Skills / Abilities

Strongindustry knowledge in commercial lines, pricing and product philosophies.

Advanced ability to compile, analyze andinterpret statistical data preferred.

Advanced ability to think strategically andtransform strategy into actionable plans required.

Advanced ability required to define and leadimplementation of new processes.

Requires advanced ability to coordinate andcontrol major projects.

Requires advanced ability to communicate clearlyand effectively at all levels – both verbally and in writing.

Requires a high degree of independent decisionmaking and problem-solving skills.

Advanced computer skills with Word, Excel,PowerPoint and Tableau preferred.
