As part of our Silicon Technologies group, you’ll help design and manufacture our next-generation, high-performance, power-efficient processor, system-on-chip (SoC). You’ll ensure Apple products and services can seamlessly and efficiently handle the tasks that make them beloved by millions. Joining this group means you’ll be responsible for crafting and building the technology that fuels Apple’s devices. Together, you and your team will enable our customers to do all the things they love with their devices. As a member of the Silicon Validation Hardware team you’ll work with a veteran group of designers building embedded systems for silicon bring-up and characterization. This position involves a wide range of activities including designing high-speed boards that push the limits of technology, designing and implementing test and characterization circuits in the lab, and debugging complicated system level problems. You’ll work closely with teams across Apple and help enable future generations of incredible products.Key Qualifications

Experience using schematic capture tools

Familiar with PCB layout analysis and simulation tools

Circuit simulation experience at board and transistor level

Proficiency with standard hardware lab equipment including scopes, logic analyzers, signal generators, protocol analyzers

Script language programming experience using Perl/Tcl/Python or similar languages.

HDL experience is a plus.

DescriptionThe Board design engineer will be responsible for: - High-speed board design - Schematic capture, design rule development, and circuit design - FPGA and CPLD development - Lab bring-up, test, and debugging - Power and signal integrity analysis - High-speed interface characterization - Debugging system level issues.Education & ExperienceMinimum requirement of BS + 10 years relevant proven experience.Additional RequirementsPay & Benefits
