Apple's Platform Architecture group is seeking a highly motivated Simulation and Control Systems Engineer with a strong software background, to participate in the development of complex thermal management algorithms. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a cross-functional team developing software that will ship to millions of Apple devices.Key Qualifications

Proficiency in Python, Matlab and C is desired.

Experience implementing Control Systems in Embedded Microcontroller environments.

Deep knowledge of System Identification algorithms, Estimation Theory, Classical and Modern Control Systems Theory, and Statistical Learning Algorithms.

Strong interpersonal and verbal/written/presentational skills

DescriptionWe are seeking a highly motivated Simulation and Control Systems Design Architect to contribute to the development of new thermal control algorithms. The candidate will be responsible for developing System Identification and learning techniques to model and simulate different power/performance/thermal characteristics in our products.Education & ExperienceB.S. and a minimum of 20 years relevant industry experience. M.S. or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering with an emphasis in industry experience is preferred.Additional RequirementsPay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $199,800.00 and $300,200.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
