Overview:The Maintenance Mechanic will perform preventative/predictive maintenance, repairs and improvements on industrial equipment in an automated food processing facility while keeping a high regard for employee safety, food quality and machine efficiency.Here's what you'll do:Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as robots, conveyors, and programmable controllers.Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment, and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment.Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.Tests malfunctioning machinery and discusses malfunction with other maintenance workers to diagnose malfunction.Replace faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, and motors, and positions sensing devices.Plan layout of wiring and install wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.Identifies problems and isolates faulty components with rapid understanding of the distribution of Input and Output as well as the location of field devices driven by such.Other duties as assigned.Must be open to work off shifts and a rotating 4x10 schedule
