Overview:Individual will perform preventative and corrective maintenance, and will be responsible for knowing the operation, assisting the setup and minor mechanical repairs to packaging equipment. (Baggers, Printers, CSMAs, Weighers and Box Formers). This position is an entry level position with the expectation that members to learn and grow. Must be able to assist all team members on the Maintenance Mechanic Team, for support and personal development.Here's what you'll do:Ensures self and coworkers are compliant with all safety rules and regulations (LOTO, fall protection, hot work, etc.)Provide and assist in the operation of the Baggers, Printers, CSMAs, Weighers and Box FormersPerform uptime and downtime inspections, lubrications, predictive, preventative, and corrective maintenance on a regular basis to ensure proper performanceLearns how to troubleshoot and repair all mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on Baggers, Printers, CSMAs, Weighers and Box FormersCollaborates with Operators to ensure equipment runs and operates at the highest efficienciesAssist training and development to operators and other team membersResearch system and component specifications using equipment manuals, schematics, parts breakdowns, online information, and vendor communicationDismantle and reassemble complex pieces of machinery in an efficient, precise and reliable mannerCreates work requests, work orders, and request parts in Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and documents details of work performedEscalate technical, procedural, and personnel related issues to direct lead or supervisor as necessaryPerforms other assigned duties and projectsAssist Packaging Specialist on repairs and improvements to equipmentWill be responsible for response and clearing Bin Jams in area of responsibilityMinor rebuild and preparation of rollers. i.e. replacement of bearings, shafts, and sprockets.
