Description We are in search of an SEC Reporting Analyst to join our team in the retail industry located in the East Bay. This role offers contract opportunity and is crucial to our finance department. As an SEC Reporting Analyst, you will primarily focus on preparing comprehensive and timely SEC filings, conducting technical research projects, and carrying out ad-hoc analyses. Responsibilities: Prepare and submit precise and timely SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q and 10-K. Conduct technical research projects that include creating and updating technical accounting memos. Work closely with various business departments to review and ensure the accuracy of financial reports as part of the reporting process. Use the Workiva software tool for preparing filings. Monitor, research, interpret, and assess new U.S. GAAP pronouncements and SEC reporting requirements and present their impact on the company's financial statements, disclosures, and reporting processes. Coordinate with the external audit team, including preparing workpapers for the 10-Q/K process. Ensure the quality review process for Earnings Release materials, including preparing tie-outs. Manage and resolve technical accounting matters.Requirements Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience Proficient in Accounting Functions including preparing financial statements, managing ledgers, and conducting financial analysis Demonstrated experience in Auditing including internal and external audits, and audit reports preparation Strong knowledge of Compliance regulations in the retail industry, with the ability to implement and enforce compliance policies Familiarity with Disclosures, specifically in relation to SEC regulations Expertise in SEC Reporting, with the ability to prepare and submit accurate reports in a timely manner Proficiency in using Workiva for financial reporting and compliance Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required Professional certification such as a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is preferred.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
