Whether you work in our state-of-the-art Casino, our beautiful Resort, or become a staff member in our Tribal Government division, you will be part of the Sycuan family.Job Purpose: Manages Transportation operations during a shift and provides support and guidance to Transportation staff Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Note: Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at the sole discretion of Sycuan Management at any time)
Maintains efficient Transportation operations during a shift by assigning duties to Transportation Leads, Valet Attendants, Shuttle Drivers, and Valet Host/Hostess, informing staff of pertinent department, casino and resort information, coordinating on and off property contracted charters, coordinating with designated bus company staff to ensure efficient operations, resolving non-routine situations as needed, ensuring approved policies and procedures are followed, providing instruction to staff on correct departmental policies and procedures, supervising, training, and providing guidance to staff as needed, and preparing claim forms and daily shift reports, following established procedures. - 50%
Maintains safe Transportation practices by observing transportation activities, proactively correcting and documenting unsafe work practices or conditions, driving within established speed limits, observing safety precautions at all times, and assisting in the implementation of safe driving training. - 25%
Promotes guest relations by treating guests in a friendly and courteous manner, promptly greeting guests with a smile, providing guests and staff with up to date promotion information, thanking guests upon departure, maintaining smooth traffic flow, and resolving guest issues as needed. - 15%
Hires and develops team members by scheduling, interviewing, and hiring best qualified applicants, monitoring team member performance, providing direct and consistent instruction, training team members, conducting performance appraisals, providing counseling, guidance and corrective action as needed, and generating and submitting the appropriate paperwork. - 10%
Job Specifications:
Education and Experience:
Essential:
Associates Degree or equivalent experience
California Drivers License in good standing
2 years supervisory experience
2 years guest service experience
2 years valet experience
Desirable:
Casino and/or hospitality experience
Valet supervisory experience
Skills and Knowledge:
Essential:
Ability to interact effectively with team members and guests
Ability to communicate effectively in the English language
Ability to maintain professionalism and composure
Ability to complete forms and documents
Ability to understand and follow verbal directives and written directions
