AR/Royalty Specialist

Description We are in search of an AR/Royalty Specialist to join our team in the retail industry at our El Segundo, California location. This role involves active collaboration with various departments, focusing on revenue projections, expense analysis, and AR collections. Responsibilities Collaborate with the Licensing Department to project revenues and analyze related marketing expenses Manage collections of AR and Minimum Guarantees from licensees Execute Licensing revenue accounting duties, including the review and processing of royalty statements, and recording of revenue income and expenses. Resolve discrepancies as needed Evaluate royalty statements in line with contractual terms Display proactive management of licensee accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in the revenue process Oversee licensee tracking and payment files Create and dispatch invoices for contractual commitments within the Licensing division Support external auditors during quarterly and year-end audits by providing necessary documentation Gather supporting evidence for third-party licensee audits Monitor commissions due to agents and ensure timely payments Initiate communication with new licensees, detailing the reporting process and providing necessary templates Contribute to quarterly management reports for international headquarters Complete month-end and quarter-end close tasks and reconciliations as assigned Maintain physical files/storage in an organized manner Utilize ERP to transact accounting entries Carry out general operational accounting and finance duties as required Participate in various ad-hoc projects and analysis as assigned Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Experience with BlackLine software Familiarity with Cerner Technologies Proficient in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning Knowledge of various ERP Solutions Ability to perform Accounting Functions Expertise in Accounts Receivable (AR) Understanding of Accrual Accounting principles Experience in Auditing Ability to manage Billing Functions Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
