Job DescriptionAn employer is looking for a Hybrid Secret or TS Ground Systems Engineer/Architect on a Systems Engineering and Integration program supporting a DOD customer in El Segundo, CA or Aurora, CO. The Architect will be responsible for leading systems engineering analysis and developing systems engineering products in support of "space sensing" efforts. They will be leading meetings, developing agendas, identifying task focus areas,developing task Plan of Actions and Milestones for completion and driving ground systems engineering tasks. The architect will be responsible for development of technical specifications, ICDs, ground architectures and designs, integration and test plans and schedules, as well as supporting the team with development of satellite communications system architecture, interfaces, protocols, planning, equipment, concept of operations, troubleshooting, policies, and procedures.Skills and Requirements
Active Secret, TS, or TS/SCI Clearance
Bachelors degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
10+ years of experience in space and ground systems engineering, integration, or development
4+ years in a leadership role within systems engineering and working closely with a government customer
Knowledge of developing ICDs, requirements, ground architectures/ designs, integration schedules, or test plans
Experience using tools such as a JIRA and Confluence - Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
Knowledge of space-based remote sensing systems
Masters degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science
INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional Certification, including ASEP, CSEP, or ESEP
PMP Certification null
