Legal Assistant

Description Our client is a dynamic fast-paced law firm seeking a dedicated and talented individual to operate as a Litigation Legal Assistant on a contract basis. The firm is committed to its reputation for excellence and professionalism, paired with providing a supportive work environment that values teamwork, respect, and progress. They are currently seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to join their team for a contract engagement. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, with excellent multitasking skills, able to thrive in a challenging, fast-paced work environment.Responsibilities:

Assist with the preparation, filing, and service of pleadings.

Create, maintain, and manage hard copy and electronic filing systems.

Coordinate and manage attorney calendars, including meetings, depositions, and court appearances.

Assist in the preparation of legal documents and correspondence.

Conduct legal research as requested.

Liaison with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and internal staff.

Manage discovery documents, including organization, review, and summarization.

Requirements

Qualifications:

A minimum of three years as a legal assistant in a litigation environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and legal research platforms.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication skills (oral and written).

Knowledge of court rules and filing procedures.

Commitment to maintain confidentiality of client information.
