Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Medical Customer Service Rep in El Segundo, California. This role is primarily focused on handling customer inquiries and maintaining accurate customer records in the healthcare industry. Your main tasks would include answering customer calls, documenting inquiries, and assisting in relevant medical procedures.Responsibilities: Handle telephone inquiries about our products, providing clear information and directing complex requests to subject matter experts. Maintain a detailed contact database by documenting inquiries and inputting requestors' information. Welcome clients, visitors, and guests, ascertain the purpose of their visit, and guide them to the appropriate location. Respond to visitor inquiries via calls, emails, or in-person, providing them with the necessary information. Adhere to security procedures, including the issuance of visitor badges. Aid in the collection of swabs for COVID and other testing when required. Utilize CRM and EHR SYSTEM skills to manage customer relations and health records. Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently. Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions. Use knowledge of Allscripts and Cerner Technologies to enhance customer service in the medical field. Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical customer service role or similar Proficiency in Allscripts, Cerner Technologies, and other computer programs Experience with CRM and EHR Systems Proven ability in answering inbound calls and providing exceptional customer service Familiarity with authorizations, benefit functions, and billing functions in a medical setting Prior experience in a call center customer service role Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve customer issues efficiently High level of professionalism and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures is preferred High school diploma or equivalent is required, higher education is a plus.
