Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Biller to join our healthcare team in Escondido, CA. The successful candidate will assume the responsibility of collecting, posting and managing account payments. It is also the Medical Biller’s responsibility to submit claims to insurance companies and follow up on any billing abnormalities.Responsibilities:
Prepare, review, and transmit claims using billing software, including electronic and paper claim processing.
Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe.
Check each insurance payment for accuracy and compliance with contract discount.
Identify and bill secondary or tertiary insurances.
Review accounts for insurance of patient follow-up.
Respond to inquiries from insurance companies, patients, and providers.
Requirements
Proven working experience as a Medical Biller.
Strong knowledge of medical insurance billing procedures, terminology, and insurance benefits.
Knowledge of medical billing software.
High degree of attention to detail and excellent problem-solving abilities.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
High school diploma; certification in Medical Billing will be a plus.
