RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Fremont, CA that is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer who is experienced in preparing and reviewing electrical permits/construction drawings. This individual will help build the infrastructure of tomorrow!
Responsibilities:
In this role, the Electrical Design Engineer will complete design packages using REVIT MEP
Use Electrical Design experience to size breakers and feeders in accordance with NEC
Use National Electric Code to create drawings in compliance with national codes
Interface and collaborate with engineers from multiple disciplines
The Electrical Design Engineer will prepare and review electrical permit/construction drawings (single line diagram, power plan, panel schedule, lighting layout, grounding layout, etc.)
Demoing & revamping infrastructure
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or the equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability
4+ years of experience
Design software skills (Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, any other design tool); Revit experience is strong preference
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in an extremely fast-paced environment
Ability to interface with multiple engineering disciplines
Awareness industry standards (NEC, NFPA standards) - must have
Coordination skills with multi design disciplines
Experience with brownfield & greenfield projects
Experience with building design, datacenter is big nice to have, light industrial such as a lab or academic facility
Understand fault currents, complete voltage drop calculations and know the difference between SCCR and KAIC
Expert Knowledge of REVIT MEP
Proficiency with AutoCAD
Well versed in National Electrical Code
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
