This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Construction Accountant to play an instrumental role in the continued growth of our well-established construction businesses.
Description:
-Execute and oversee general accounting including A/R, A/P, Certified and Prevailing wage payroll, job costing, general ledger posting, month-end closing process and reporting, financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting
-Account reconciliation compilation, prepare internal books for external auditors and ensure audit and regulatory compliance
-Summarize and prepare financial status and transactions reports, including profit and loss statement, and other necessary reports
-Cash flow management, expenditure tracking and contract management
-Sub-contract management including insurance compliance and annual 1099 issuance
- Cost analysis, Work In Progress/WIP tracking and reporting
-Multiple entity work
-Ensure Generally Accepted Accounting Principles/GAAP compliance and comply with all federal, state, and local protocols including legal requirements and interpret new and existing legislation
- Work directly with project managers ensuring proper reporting
Requirements:
-4-year Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred or equivalent experience
-Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience; 2-3 years of construction industry experience required
-Strong knowledge of internal controls and GAAP
-SAGE 100 experience required
-Advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel, Word and Outlook required; plus construction management software preferred
-Ability to multi-task, work independently in fast paced environment
-Excellent communication and organizational skills
-Ability to work in a deadline driven environment
