Description Tyler Houk (Practice Director) with Robert Half has a position available for an Accounting Clerk for a company in the Real Estate industry. In this role, you will match invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, enter data and assist with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R) processes. This position is a permanent role and is located in the Fresno, California area.Major responsibilities
Post financial information to journals and ledgers
Code documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes
General accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects
Resolve discrepancies by examining possible sources of disagreement, recreating likely actions, and identifying the effect on other accounts; generate correction documents as required
Prepare statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources
Support accounts payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing
Carry out additional related duties and help with special projects on an as-needed basis
Support Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance
Requirements
3+ years of accounting experience required
Ability to multitask effectively
AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
Prior experience in Spreadsheet and ERP system
Deep understanding of Job Cost
Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience required
Foundational knowledge in journal entries
Data entry, document management, file creation and previous records experience required
