Summary:To provide overall focus and leadership for the plant in the areas of safety, health, environment, and quality. The lead is responsible for setting priorities, evaluating opportunities, and making the decisions that are necessary to pull the team together to achieve a safe work environment and 100% customer satisfaction. The lead is to strive for results by being self-motivated and a good communicator who motivates, coaches, and encourages all team members in a fair and consistent manner. In addition, this person will be dedicated, with a clear vision of their task and exhibit a sense of urgency while being committed to the overall success of their team. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: · Excellent organization skills· Operate spectrophotometer to read in standards and read color for measurements.· Ability to use and read basic measurement devices, (calculator, tape measure, and ruler)· Operate score bend, gloss meter, rub tester, slip tester, open force, densitometer, copier/fax.· Good mechanical aptitude· Written/Verbal Communications Skills - Must follow detailed instructions for training and quality.Expectations/Guidelines:· Maintain our SQF system including audit preparation.· Maintaining records and participation on the SQF team· Controlling and updating SQF documents including SOPs and reference guides· Support the & act as internal auditor as neededAssist with vendor evaluations, document control and complaints.· Prepare supporting documentation and coordinate completion of customer Product Stewardship requests.· Complete activities essential to sustainability chain of custodyQualifications: · High School Diploma or GED· 1-2 years’ experience in a Quality Tech role and SQF background experience preferred.What we offer:· Pay Rates: $22-$27 per hour· Shift(s) Available: Day shift· Shift Positions: 8-hour shift · Safety is #1 Priority Health, Dental and Vision Insurance + Flexible Spending Account / Health Savings AccountPaid Time Off and Holidays Life Insurance and Short-Term Disability 401(k) with company match, and Pension Program Overtime Potential Career Development Opportunities Corporate culture based on integrity, respect, accountability, and excellence Bonus EligibleWestRock (NYSE:WRK) partners with our customers to provide differentiated paper and packaging solutions that help them win in the marketplace.
