Description Tyler Houk (Practice Director) with Robert Half is seeking a dedicated Senior Accountant to join our team in Fresno, California. The role primarily involves conducting research, resolving accounting problems, and supporting the accounting personnel. The successful candidate will also be responsible for verifying the accuracy of accounting documents, preparing journal entries, and managing staff members.Responsibilities: Conduct thorough research and resolve accounting problems in an efficient manner Issue checks for accounts payable and record business transactions to the general ledger system Verify the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents Prepare and post journal entries to maintain the general ledger system Prepare and analyze account reconciliations, review bank reconciliations, loan schedules, management fees, etc. Assist in the daily banking requirements and support budget and forecasting activities Collaborate with other department managers to support overall departmental goals and objectives Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close Manage the work and development of staff members and provide training to new and existing staff as needed Work with the Controller to ensure a clean and timely year-end Prepare or review Business Licenses, personal property tax, Sales and Use tax, Real Estate tax, and other government formsSkills: Proficient in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations Experience with General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close Ability to function in accordance with established standards, procedures, and applicable laws Excellent organizational and analytical skills Demonstrated ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.Requirements Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role is required. Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations is necessary. Must have experience with General Ledger and Journal Entries. Proficient in Microsoft Excel with a focus on financial analysis and large data sets. Experience with Month End Close procedures is crucial. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Must have a strong ethical standard and integrity. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
