Our CPA is extremely diversified, they have more than 20+ years of service here in the Central Valley. This is a well-oiled team! Business hours are Monday through Friday 8AM - 5PM. The Staff Accountant role is perfect for an accounting professional with 1+ years of recent experience.In this role, you will have responsibility over the preparation of journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. Many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close will be your reponsibility. You will also participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and look over schedules for the reporting processes. A highly involved position, it works to produce Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. Support fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation
Support capital lease and monthly payment schedules
Conduct month end close, journal entries, without supervision
Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll
Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested
Be responsible for analysis of income statements and balance sheets and communicate findings to management
Assist in monthly financial close workbook preparation, including annual closing process
Aid in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
Offer descriptions of a large number of financial data and communicate insights in a useful and understandable manner

2+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience
Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines
Competent with spreadsheets and databases
Expertise in bookkeeping
Individual tax experience desired
Deep understanding of payroll
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis
Current and relevant ERP system experience
