If selected for this role, you will report to the Manager of North America Brand Communications (Softlines).What You Will DoAs the Softlines Licensing Intern, you will support the day-to-day management of Disney brands, consumer products strategies, and critical initiatives! The approximate dates of this internship are January 2025 through June 2025.Are you an individual who can take ownership of projects and lead initiatives with high attention to detail?Responsibilities include:

Assist the licensing team in researching and responding to licensee questions and/or requests

May serve as the liaison for marketing approvals, routing to reviewers, consolidating feedback and partnering with licensees to implement changes

Assist with PR/Social Media requests, aligning to the marketing calendar, movie releases/tentpoles and anniversaries

Attend meetings and distribute notes to meeting attendees, handle follow-ups as needed

Maintain and update sell-in documents in partnership with licensees

Maintain and distribute licensee lists as needed

Perform store checks and collect information for business analysis including, trend research and product placement

Take the lead on a team project and perform day-to-day needs as assigned

Mange product samples and organization of sample storage

Solicit and provide monthly selling highlights across assigned categories

Stay up-to-date on marketing, product innovation and relevant cultural trends - bring fresh ideas to the table

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education

Be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR have graduated from a college/university within the past six (6) months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship

Currently enrolled as a Senior or recently graduated in the past six months, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or other related field

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements

Be at least 18 years of age

Possess unrestricted work authorization

Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program

Additional Information

The approximate dates of this internship are January 2025 through June 2025

Ability to work full time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) Monday - Friday, for the duration of the internship with possible evenings and weekends if necessary

This internship is a hybrid position and requires a working, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated workspace

Must have a valid US driver's license and own reliable transportation to/from work

This internship is located in Glendale, CA; candidates should be receptive to providing their own transportation and housing for the duration of the internship

  • About the Role & Team

  • The Technical Director II is responsible for monitoring and ensuring the technical and creative fidelity of animated projects and works in all phases of the postproductions process. This ranges from ingesting materials from our partner studios, executing creative or technical shot work through our mastering and finishing pipeline. The ideal candidate is comfortable digging into complex shots created by our international animation partners and improving them with surgical precision and artistry. Extensive knowledge of all stages of 2D/Harmony production including Importing, creation of new scenes, compositing, and the file structure of ToonBoom Harmony is required. This position requires technical skills combined with refined artistic skills, including an eye for composition, color, and lighting and a strong knowledge of animation principles. Extensive knowledge of the CG Pipeline with respect to assets, including Character, Prop, Sets and VFX. This position works closely with the Studio Lead Technical Director, Creative Leadership, Series Leadership, Production and other Technical Directors in the studio. When required this position will also participate in ongoing pipeline improvement efforts as software use continues to grow and evolve.
