Turley Wine Cellars has an opening for a part-time Tasting Room Attendant to join our team.
Turley is a passionate producer and advocate of old vine Zinfandels with wineries in St. Helena, Paso Robles and Amador. We make over 40 wines, the vast majority of which are single vineyard designate Zinfandels and Petite Syrahs, and we aim to both create and preserve California's unique winemaking culture. As a family-owned company, we are as loyal and committed to our people as we are to our winemaking standards.
We are looking for people who are friendly, engaging, reliable, have a solid interest in wine, and will thrive in the tasting room environment. Essential job duties will include welcoming guests, pouring wines, learning about our history/wines/vineyards/winemaking practices, providing information, conducting purchase and shipping transactions through eCellar POS system, keeping the tasting room clean and well stocked, participating in special events, and doing whatever needs to be done to ensure a consistently excellent customer experience.
This is a part-time, non-exempt and non-seasonal position. We provide a competitive hourly wage with incentive pay, company bonus, profit sharing, employee wine program, and educational opportunities for professional development.
Candidates are required to be at least 21 years of age and available to work 3-4 shifts per week (up to 28 hours) including weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and holidays. You will be required to lift and move up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout a shift; stand/walk for long periods of time; maintain a commitment to excellence and high standards; manage constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm; and have sufficient wine knowledge and related experience to successfully perform the essential job duties.
