Our family-owned dental practice is currently seeking a temporary Schedule Coordinator to oversee primarily our front office on a part-time temporary basis. This position starts three days a week for training then can grow to more days a week.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing the appointment schedule, ensuring seamless patient flow, and providing excellent customer service to our patients. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks. Knowledge of dental insurance is highly considered.

Primary Responsibilities:

Manage the appointment schedule to optimize patient flow and ensure efficient use of dental providers' time

Managing incoming phone calls and promptly returning calls as required

Greeting and check in patients, ensuring up to date insurance and information

Verifying insurance

Monitor and manage the waiting area, ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment for patients

Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.

Other duties as assigned

Essential Job Requirements:

2 years proven experience as a schedule coordinator, receptionist, or in a customer service role, in a dental or medical setting

Understanding of dental procedures, terminology, and basic insurance billing processes preferred

Proficient computer skills, including experience with scheduling software, electronic health records (EHR), and Microsoft Office Suite, Eaglesoft software experience a plus

Well-developed verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail

Ability to type quickly, accurately and for prolonged periods

Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task

Ability to operate standard office equipment
