Minimum qualifications:

4 years of experience with process control systems.

Experience working with facility process control systems, including installation.

Experience with start-up, maintenance, and troubleshooting of various control systems.

Experience working with electrical power and controls wiring and drawings/diagrams along with maintaining system architecture drawings.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience with networking and integrating devices using Building Automation and Control Networks (BACnet), Modbus TCP/RTU, and Ethernet IP communication protocols with various control systems.

Experience with software programs and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC).

Experience working with AutoCAD, Solidworks, or Google Workspace.

Experience interfacing with suppliers and generating cost estimates for projects.

Google Quantum AI mission is to build this computer and unlock solutions to classically intractable problems. Our roadmap is focused on advancing the capabilities of quantum computing and enabling meaningful applications.As a Hardware Engineer, you will be responsible for helping design and implement automated control systems that are critical to our production operations. You will interact, control, update, install, and maintain the various control systems and integrate them into the BMS (Building Management System) and facility dashboard interface and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) interface network. You will interact with local contractors, controls suppliers, various systems controls technicians, and engineers.Google Research is building the next generation of intelligent systems for all Google products. Google Research teams collaborate closely with other teams across Google, maintaining the flexibility and versatility required to adapt new projects and foci that meet the demands of the world's fast-paced business needs.The US base salary range for this full-time position is $119,000-$175,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Help manage Facility Process Control systems for Quantum AI.

Coordinate and commission the installation of controls systems equipment.

Build and maintain the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for asset tracking, calibrations, equipment maintenance procedures, and service contracts in a high-tech environment.

Support the startup, commissioning and integration of new equipment and systems into facilities infrastructure and provide safety guidance for electrical and controls installations.

Coordinate with the lab manager, technicians, and engineers on equipment and facility related maintenance, shutdowns, and emergencies.
